Geraniums are protective plants when growing in the garden or the freshly cut flowers are brought into the house.  Citronella Geranium has a reputation for repelling Mosquitos, hence it being known as the ‘Mozzie Plant’. In fact, the Citronella used in Mozzie repellent comes from this plant.
