Jung’s Aion provides us a breakdown of the archetype of the “self” and how this archetype has changed over time. In doing so Jung draws from the depths of obscure and ancient world religions & myths many of which I was not familiar with in the slightest.

Eddinger’s explanations of Jung’s references to these more obscure religions (alchemy, astrology, Gnosticism, etc) was really helpful for me and has served as a good starting point to truly delve into the world of Aion.
